2017 Honda Ridgeline Modified

I can't wait to get my Lunar Silver RTL-E, but "for me" I need some exterior accessories to make this "boyish" looking AWD vehicle a little more masculine. Can folks post their Modifications where you feel you enhanced the look?
I plan to add the Honda:
-Roof rail
-Sport Grill
But most other items look cheap at least in the thumbnails, so maybe I need to "see them" or wait for alternatives(?)
Components (Alternatives)
Wheel Flares.... (Kevlar paint to provide the look)
Skid plate...(Hoping for a bumper w/ better approach angle + increase ground clearance) as many other Honda AWD vehicles have a better approach angle = to a better off road look/truck look

It would be nice if an aftermarket supplier could design a Gen 2 " properly sized" cut back front bumper w/ improved approach angle and skid plate + tow hooks+ concealed winch, similar to the upcoming Chevy Colorado ZR 2.
Add a carbon fiber hood and you have a "truck look" without the lifting while hopefully preventing voiding any warranty coverage.
?On that note....has anyone made any modifications, with non Honda accessories and/or installation, which voided the Honda warranty?

I'm wondering about the warranty, too. Besides the normal lift and tires, I'm thinking about modifications to the front/rear bumpers to help with approach/departure angles. Seems like that'd have to be custom work, though.

There are some nice modified Ridgelines out there. I'm sure it will set you back a few coins though. Here are just a couple I found, but I am sure there a lots more out there.

A video of the ZR2 in action! Nice ground clearance in the front--they got rid of that annoying air dam.

A front-mounted hitch receiver would open up a world of possibilities. That would be near the top of my list for the aftermarket to develop (Honda certainly won't!).

I have an oem hood front edge protector on my G1 -it does make the front end look a little bulkier so maybe that would look good on a G2? Also protects hood edge and sometimes deflects stones etc up and over windshield.

Just being honest here. Maybe you should think about trading in your G2 for the new Colorado ZR 2, or for that matter, any other truck that already has the off road look that you desire. The G2 just doesn't have that aggressive jacked up skid plate off road look to the front. It would take major reconstructive surgery to do so. Probably won't see an off road kit any time soon. More than likely to see a custom one-off here and there. $$$$

Guilty as charged! But I thought it was still relevant given it's regarding the G2 and some of us are still looking into mods.

It doesn't really seem like the majority of the Ridgeline owners are much of a "modified" crowd! Aside from factory Bolt-ons that is.
The aftermarket is driven by demand! When there is no demand there are no products! Lucky for me there are multiple Honda and Acura chassis that use the J series engine. Good aftermarket for these engines. Shame there isn't more for the Body and suspension.

Why not just accept your sophisticated truck for just that? It's not a rock crawler, mud bogging truck. It's a very competent everyday truck with limitations and strong points that offset those and. for those who don't require a vehicle to define them.
I have a Jeep and F150 that will outperform my RL Off road and a R52 Mini that will outperform on the road, but given a choice I reach for the RL keys every time.

Personally, I'm not looking to crawl boulders or spin in the mud. But what I do want is more clearance and underbody protection to go with my sophistication. Basically off-roading in sand, trails, and general rocky terrain. The G2 RL is in the lower range of numbers when it comes to clearance and approach/breakover/departure angles compared to the mid-sized competition. I knew that going in and I'm sure Honda engineers built it this way to balance efficiency and performance, but I'm willing to sacrifice some of that to serve my needs. So I'm not unhappy with my RL at all if that's the impression I gave. Just wanna talk mods with other Ridgeline owners.
Plus, I don't own multiple vehicles to serve my specific needs. Would be super cool to get a Jeep and a Tacoma to add to my collection, but I can only afford one vehicle at the moment (thank god the wife's Pilot is paid off).
(And I just realized the title of this thread refers to the "look" which wasn't the reason why I posted. I think I conducted a search on "approach angle" and it brought me here. Apologies again for resurrecting.)

Examples of a couple of places we've gone in the last few weeks. Same places I've frequented in the past with my old CRV (lifted a couple inches, AT tires, AWD), but now with the new RL.

Honda does cover my needs, on road and off. I get to my off road destination in style and comfort with my G2 and then my Pioneer takes care of my off road needs.
This was the first time hauling the Pioneer with the G2 as I had the radiator fan go out on the Pioneer so I brought in in from deer camp for repair. The G2 really handle the towing much better than my G1s did. Power, smoothness, and so much more quiet made the drive home nicer.

@veesix, your best options are to 1) switch tires to A/T style (many to choose from, check the tire threads to determine if you want one that still has good road manners and MPG, e.g.-Pirelli or TerrainContacts), 2) 1.5" lift from Truxx or Traxda (Traxda has camber adjustment). If you go up a bit in tire size, you can probably get to 30.6" which would give you another 0.5" GC.
